Draft Engineering was established as an entity in 1986, where the founder Mr. D.A. Guedes started from humble beginnings in a 60m² factory with an Ursus centre lathe, Cinciatti milling machine and a do-all band saw.
Draft Engineering grew, through the hard work and perseverance of all that were involved, we naturally out-grew the premises and had to move to slightly bigger premises with more equipment. Before time was given to settle into the new space, our perseverance was prevalent and further natural growth took its course. In 1995 Draft Engineering joined the Radfam Engineering Group and moved into a much bigger factory where we have since remained.
Our Factory to date boasts 1800m2 under roof, with an array of modern engineering equipment namely:
Draft Engineering currently manufactures components for Industries varying from mining, automotive, aviation and printing, as well as for the medical sector.
Our experience speaks volumes with the combined experience of over 70 years from our Artisans. Draft Engineering is also involved in various training and development programs, both in house as well as with accredited training centres. Experience we have gained comes with evolution!
Having stated that, our team comprising of 30 highly skilled individuals that are geared for conventional applications as well as some of the latest 3D technology all encompassed under one roof. Our CNC's are all programmed using Featurcam technology, thus eliminating time loss on live programming, tool crashes and job changes. We are proud to have this team on our side. Our relationship with our clients as well as with our staff is one that many would be proud of. These relationships go back many years.
Draft Engineering expanded their operation in 2012 to include Structural Steel Fabrication to our scope of work. We have a team of 2 Boilermakers as well as 3 Coded welders with all relevant welding procedures and certification in place.
We are proud to say that in our year of launch we were able to successfully manufacture 150tonnes of steelwork.
Technology being the focus, we make use of a Beam Line for fabrication thus making our turnaround times and Quality Control very manageable.
Our scope ranges from Mild steel Structural fabrication to more intricate Stainless Steel fabrication. Our welders are tested regularly and are kept up to date with any procedural changes that our Clients Quality Control Plan may require.
Draft Engineering is capable of dealing country wide, already having had successful projects completed, as well as ongoing supply in Rustenburg, Brits, Thabazimbi, Durban , Cape Town and Polokwane.

Tryer Products launched itself in 1997 as a contributor to the Mining Industry. The name "Tryer" is exactly what it means. We are constantly working with various sectors of Mining Trying to develop knowledge and bettering the way old and redundant systems work.
We are proud to state that many innovations have already been implemented and Tryer Products today enjoys a healthy relationship with the Platinum Mines, supplying implemented products monthly. All goods developed and marketed are also manufactured by Tryer, ensuring our Clients get the best possible deal.

We are a Steel Merchant based in Denver Johannesburg, offering the market competitive pricing on all your steel requirements.
